Mars is traditionally linked with action, effort, and how you respond to resistance. In work questions, use it to examine how you begin and what happens when a task becomes difficult. It is not a measure of willpower or a reason to blame yourself.

Check the task before your motivation
A delayed start can have different causes. You may not know what the finished work should look like. You may need a decision from someone else. You may already have more work than the available time allows.
Ask these questions:
- Is the next step clear enough to do?
- Do I have the information and permission I need?
- Am I avoiding one difficult part or the entire task?
- What should move if this task becomes the priority?

Imagine you keep postponing a presentation. “Work on the presentation” hides several jobs. A smaller start is to write the audience’s main question and three points that answer it. That gives you something to review before you design slides.
If the deadline still cannot fit, discuss the scope or timing. Making the first step smaller does not create extra hours.
