What do chart aspects mean for work?
The short answer
An aspect is an angle between two positions in a birth chart. Astrology uses these angles to discuss how different themes might work together or pull in different directions. The angle is a calculation; its career meaning is an interpretation, not a measured trait.

Learn the main types
- Conjunction, about 0 degrees: Two positions are close together. Ask which themes you tend to combine.
- Sextile, about 60 degrees: Traditionally read as possible cooperation. Ask what becomes useful with practice.
- Square, about 90 degrees: Traditionally read as tension. Ask which demands need a clearer agreement.
- Trine, about 120 degrees: Traditionally read as ease. Ask which familiar strength you use well or take for granted.
- Opposition, about 180 degrees: Positions face across the chart. Ask how you could make room for two competing needs.
The accepted distance from an exact angle is called an orb. Different methods allow different distances. More lines on a chart do not mean a more difficult life.

Imagine a reading connects fast action with careful planning. You do not need to choose one permanently. You could make a rough first draft, then use a separate checking stage before sharing it. Test whether that division helps you finish useful work.
